I co-founded Kinetiq One with a family whose child plays on my team because we saw an opportunity to make youth sports easier to manage—and more enjoyable to be part of.
As a coach, I wanted less time spent coordinating details and more time with my players. Families wanted a simple way to stay informed without digging through messages or switching between tools.
This season, several teams used Kinetiq Team, including mine. Seeing it become part of our routine was exciting. Families consistently told me it was easier to use than other apps they’d used for their other teams.
Clearer communication for families
Youth sports are a family experience. Parents, players, grandparents, and other family members may all want to stay connected, but they shouldn’t have to rely on one person to pass everything along.
Kinetiq Team gives people their own identities and helps them find the information they need. Automated game reminders help families keep up with what’s coming, and announcements and chat make team communication faster and easier to follow.
The feedback I heard most often was simple: families enjoyed using the app, and it felt easier than what they were used to.
More visibility for coaches
I appreciated having powerful tools that helped me manage my team without getting in the way of coaching.
I could see which family members were connected to each player and give coaches and staff roles that reflected their responsibilities. For games and practices, I had more visibility into who had seen or tapped a notification and who had submitted an RSVP.
A useful log of changes to games and practices also made it easier to see what I’d updated and gave families more transparency when plans changed. More responsive announcements and chat helped information move quickly when the team needed it.
Those details add up. They reduce the back-and-forth and make it easier for everyone to know where things stand.
